2) Are any of the cookies and tracking tools being used by third-party services for anything other than what is needed to provide your services?
We only provide the bare minimum amount of information to the companies listed above necessary to use their services for the business purposes previously described. We provide no other information to Google Analytics or Facebook other than what a user might provide by logging in to Givsum using Facebook or using Google services apart from our site.
Anyone who uses Google or Facebook has already granted permission to be tracked by them across the internet. To ensure that neither Google nor Facebook can track an individual user, deleting all Google and Facebook software accounts and halting all use of their hardware devices would achieve that goal, while still being able to use the Givsum platform.
3) Is there any other purpose for using Tag Management?
The primary use of Segment is to simplify the tracking of actions on the Givsum platform. We track user actions anonymously in order to guide product improvements/development. For example, are people having trouble creating opportunities on the site? Segment allows us to send that one problematic incident concurrently to multiple services (such as Google Analytics, Mixpanel, and Intercom) so that a satisfactory resolution can be achieved with greater effectiveness and efficiency.
